How to use:

  • To download the figures, click   here

  • To save a PDF of the full document in Google Chrome:

    • Set Destination to Save as PDF

    • Try print by right clicking on the grey margin and selecting print from the menu, or use keyboard shortcut: ctrl + P

    • Use more settings and then set Margins to None

    • Tick the option Background graphics

    • Click on Save and choose a path on your device to save the PDF

Notes:

  • The following graphs show results of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of the fibre-droplet-blade assembly where blade is at position 3 .

  • Results show the shear stress plots along the interface and also an image showing shear stress countours on the deformend shape of the FEM assembly.

  • The snalysis duatrion has been divided into 25 points. For each of these 25 points, the results for S12 are plotted along the interface, both on the fibre side and the droplet side.

  • The cohesive bond failure separation for shear was set at 2.0E-7 .

  • The last figure shows the load-deflection cuve for the whole analysis: Click here for load-deflection curve
